You're right. It does trump them all -- the rest are beautiful, but practical.
I like to think: Where on earth would I wear that dress in the real world? But then I think: If I actually HAD that D&G dress, I'd be so thrilled that I'd wear it to the market!

Pure glee, is right. Too bad some of that glee can transport its way into my closet!
I would love to own just one gorgeous piece like that. That reminds me of this article, I think in Harper's Bazaar a few months ago about a women who bought this outrageously expensive Vera Wang dress after a break-up. She said she wore it all of the time, but only in her apartment as wearing it in the real world was so impractical. But it helped her move on.
