To give some sweetness to my life, today I was lucky enough to find a shop in San Francisco that sells my favorite Australian treat: Tim Tams. Just in case there's a blizzard or a Tim Tam shortage, I bought six packages. For those not in the know, I highly suggest ordering a package (or even better: buy twelve!)

Sadly, they only had the original (and they weren't even called "Tim Tams" but simply Arnott's Originals) but I do like the originals -- followed by the double dipped. And the latte. And one I had last year in New Zealand that I can't find anywhere.
They are very yummy -- great with tea (the trick is to bite off one corner and then bite off the diagnol opposite corner and use it like a straw).
Six packets? Six? OMG - sugar overdose!!
Well, that will take me a while to eat! At most I eat two per day!
When I read this yesterday I had missed lunch and was sent into serious Tim Tam craving. Mmmmm. I'll have to check the local grocery store that carries a lot of treats from abroad. Would be worth the extra $$ to treat myself.
You CAN get them on-line (it's a bit more pricey than they were in the shop, and definitely more than in OZ/NZ). It's just a question of being very cautious when you order them in bulk ;)
