I will not be cynical
I just found out that a good friend -- who's 30 or 31 -- is getting married later this year.
She's getting married on my birthday.
I'll be turning 35. And more than likely escorted by D, my gay boyfriend, and J, his gay boyfriend.
I'm barely celebrating the fact that I'll be having a second date later this week.
I will not be cynical. I will be happy for her. I am happy for her.

Oh, trust me, I've never feel deep yearnings to be married -- it's only the fact that it's happening on my 35th birthday that has my stomach churning. I mean, my heart burning.
